Alexa fluor 647 labeled lysozyme is one of SLT's fluorescent enzyme conjugates that were labeled with a near infrared fluorescent dye. Lysozymes are a family of  catalytic enzymes that damage bacterial cell walls by catalyzing hydrolysis of 1,4-beta linkages between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Lysozyme is also known as muramidase or N-acetylmuramide glycanhydrolase. Alexa fluor 647 labeled lysozyme is a near infrared fluorescent lysozyme conjugate that emits fluorescent light at 670 nm upon excited at 650 nm.

SLT's fluorescent labeled lysozymes are prepared by covalent conjugation of fluorescent dyes to lysozyme molecules. Extensive purification process has been applied to remove any non-conjugated free dyes. These fluorescently labeled lysozyme conjugates can be easily detected by common fluorescent instruments such as fluorometer, fluorescent plate reader, fluorescent microscope or flow cytometer.  These fluorescent lysozyme conjugates are suitable for both in-vitro and in-vivo imaging applications.
